A lot of those same publications also have a ‘Top 50 Prospects’ listed and Spence is consistently in the 25-35 range.

Tooo early for me to agree or disagree. Free Agency will help to clear things up.

Mark: Four “votes” for Spence hardly “in the lead” when Hargreaves also has four “votes.”

BucWild: Agree that Spence is listed much farther down in the Top 50 lists so far and, apparently there is a good reason, if you take the time to research his background. The key question is how high would he be ranked on talent alone?

I really like what PR is saying regarding Ronnie Stanley. He isn’t the sexy pick but I like your reasoning.
    1. It is a deep DE draft where 3 could be off the board before they pick.
    2. Martin could really even take it to another level with an even better o-line
    3. More protection for Winston is not a bad thing
    4. I didn’t know about the success rate of LT’s but that is another great point

Martin won’t be here. Cheap fellows won’t pay up. Licht thinks he’s another Belechech (sic). His ego won’t let him sign Martin.

I agree with Horse. Free agency will define the draft priorities.

    Spence 4.8 in the forty…ugh!

We don’t need a doper DE. Trade Glennon to Houston and acquire their former first round DE from SC who has not been able to shine in the shadow of their best NFL DE. Then use the first pick for a cover corner with great height and cover speed. Second or Third round get a 340 pound N/T in our 3-4 with our newly acquired DE on one side and McCoy at DE on the other side. In our 4-3 play our huge N/T inside with McCoy. Third round take the best Safety available, and train Tandy as a backup CB and Safety to play when needed. Fourth Pick a short yardage RB. Rest best player available.
