We have to keep Jackson at least one more year. Twelve mil. against the cap is a little high but he has earned it. That being said we need to draft his replacement this year, a 6’5 receiver with speed would be nice if we could find one. Keep the “twin towers” in tact for our rookie QB. Next year he needs to take a pay cut or he will need to be replaced. We still need a slot receiver with speed so we can go four wide anytime we desire. When you think of receivers it comes to mind that our receivers are designed more for Winston then Mariota that’s one reason I believe the Bucs will select Winston.

Well I think in this years draft we focus on getting a slot receiver, although I did see Atlanta just let go of Hugh Douglas. I’m curious if Koetter would bring him in since he has knowledge of the system already.
But we do need Vincents replacement next year as he probably won’t be here after that. It would be nice to have one more receiver he could groom and there are some big boys in this draft at receiver. Most will be gone in the first round though so slot will be the best quality of player we can get where we pick at.

When you have a player this good and another on the opposite side, you don’t cut him. You get a QB who can get him the ball. Don’t be foolish. You have a handful of players who are really good, build around them.

This is good for the morale of the team. particularly the young players.
