Don’t understand why some are looking for a better option at left tackle. No team is going to cut a very good LT. D Smith was drafted high in the 2nd round, has all the tools, just needs to play, he’s our starter there. Same goes for D end, no team is cutting a good one. Next year I see us targeting one with a high pick. What we got is going to have to be good enough. I think in order for our defense to excel our offense needs to do it’s part, and put up some points! Our D spent to much time on the field last year, to many 3 and outs on offense, with way to little points. If we can get some healthy leads, where teams have to throw more, you’ll see more sacks, and picks. What did we have the 28th ranked offense? That doesn’t help your defense. No matter how good your D is, you can’t hold teams to 17 anymore, and expect to win games.
