He’s right. We’ll find out in April if we pick at N0. 9 or drop down because a couple other players will still be there. With that extra draft pick we could either trade up higher in the 2nd or 3rd round. If we could hit another home run with our first three selections we are looking at double digit wins for several years. Go Bucs!

The months leading up to the Draft are entertaining days for us wanabe GM’s. We’ll listen to the thoughts of Mel Kiper, Charles Davis, Mike Mayok and even our own Scott Reynolds as if their every word is gospel. Nowadays we’ll peruse the internet and watch highlights on YouTube to develop our own evaluations in a mere 2 minutes. Pink will check if DB’s legs are too skinny. Horse will check the lineman’s weight. Others look at 40 times. Some will make sure they go to church. We all have our desired traits. We’ll put together “packages” of players to trade our undesirables for premium Draft picks. The name Mike Glennon will be offered up to the Broncos for a 4th rounder and Aqib Talib. We will sweeten any deal by throwing in Bobby Rainey. We’ll even propose to trade our entire secondary and DaQuan Bowers to the Seahawks for a 6th round round pick and Michael Bennett. We’ll propose to trade Evan Smith to the Patriots for a 7th rounder and Lagarette Blount. The possibilities are endless. If we can garner a 1st round pick for Craig Erikson anything can happen.

Good laugh for this morning. And since we’re venturing into the comical possibilities that some will seriously propose. I just wonder what the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center would demand in trade for Aaron Hernandez? My guess is that he’d be ours for as little as a pack of cigarettes. And that would be expensive for that dirt bag.

Scubog, if we can pull any of those trades off, we’ll be in great shape. haha

the way so many “experts” were so far off on Cam Newton and from the looks of it Winston, I don’t pay any attention to any of these idiots any more… i will just have faith that Licht & Co. will bring in for the Bucs smart tough football players and not just the best athletes but football players

Licht made some comments the other day that seemed to take a swipe at Lovie. He basically said, it’s nice having a staff that wants the best players, not scheme fits. He went on to say an intelligent coach can play to his players strengths, and it makes scouting, drafting easier when you ‘re not pigeon holed looking for scheme fits. Me thinks the scouting department now has the green light to get us the best talent available,so at number nine it will be BPA.

On a side note, watched the pro bowl draft. Mike Irving really showed some love for Jameis. The whole crew gave him great reviews, including Gruden. They did mention Mariota, said he lives in Hawaii, lol.

Last year I did not have a good read on Kwon Alexander, but I was intrigued when he was one of our draft choices. I tried to follow him as much as I could (from a distance) during the offseason. He exceeded all my hopes and expectations. I will be watching Kenny Bell again to see how he comes out of the pre-season. And of course I will enjoy watching all the new draftees. My amateur scouting has only just begun.

I was totally wrong on Kwon last year. I thought he would be another Dekota Watson. Glad I was wrong!

    I’m with you stone1.
It took a real Gil Brandt to make the prediction that Mariota and Winston would go one and two to two teams that desperately needed QB’s.
That clown set this team back ten years with his stupid draft picks and FA signings that included overpaying some of our own players.
That’s what happens when you hire style over substance.
