Short DB. Very disappointing pick. Biggest need for years has been the DL. Rankin was right there.

“He has an ego and that’s what we like.” In other words, “Don’t let the door hit you in the @$$ on the way out Banks”. Personally I’ll take instincts over ego, but hopefully when Licht says ego he means confidence, which I will take.

SO So pick but he has talent so he will help. DL would have been a better pick especially after trading back.

Banks will be a key player in the backfield this coming season. He’s not going anywhere.

Clearly the people that know better than us projected that there would be ample DL talent to choose from at the beginning of the 2nd round. And that has proven to be true. It has been no secret that this draft was particularly deep at DL. One video I saw last night after the draft discussed just that. According to Mike Mayock, many GM’s knew DL was a deep position and it pushed other positions up in the first round. The Bucs are still going to get a potential first round talent at the 8 spot in the 2nd round. We could have had Rankins, sure. Of course now I’m going to hope he’s a bust for the Saints. But Hargreaves is a good pick and we can still get a quality D-Lineman in the 2nd. Plus the added 4th round pick. Mr. Licht knows what he’s doing. He’s got this team headed in the right direction.
