Totally happy with this move! All we need now is a DE or two. I am praying that Wisinewski will hate the terrible weather in Seattle, and come to beautiful sunny Florida! I am also hoping that we can get at least one of Orakpo or Morgan at DE. Also wish we would take a chance on WR V. Brown. Maybe we can go get one more cheap, young safety with potential to fight for the roster spot in camp with Conte and Tandy.

Happy with this move. Melton has played 3 tech his career in the NFL, but he was a DE coming out of Texas and an RB his first year there. I just looked back at his pro day numbers, he ran a 4.65 and had a 34.5 vert at 270. He is 280 now, is there a chance he could be our LDE?

This team is starting to remind me of the Blues Brothers. LET’S GET THE BAND BACK TOGETHER! Only joking! Love this signing! Good insurance and a starter if needed. I believe it’s a one year deal for now but I’ll take what we can get. Now a pass rusher like Hardy and we are about set on D-Line

I like this signing. I predicted this one! Go Bucs!

Hopefully this is the last of our ex bear additions…

Off topic, What ever happened to the Saints O-Line players that was thought to be released ?

    1. 6.1

Holding out for a trade. Keep in mind Jahri Evans and Ben Grubbs are 30 something. Terron Armstead is only young LOT on line. Just got rid of center in the Graham trade. Might want to look elsewhere for O-Line help.

    2. 6.2

Jason Licht is asleep at the wheel. Ben Grubbs traded to KC for 5th round pick. Former 1st round pick, although 31 was certainly worth that. Especially when you don’t have one!

    Great signing!

Usually you’re a step or two behind your first year back from ACL surgery, then you’re good that second year (just like Revis). He got 5 sacks as a reserve has first year back, so he should be back in Pro Bowl form this year. Imagine McCoy and Melton at DE’s, McDonald at NT, with David and Carter at OLB in a 3-4 on passing downs.

    Where is the O-line help?

  10. 10

The ol help will come. That’s what the draft is gonna be fore. Once we get the qb, then we can start building the ol. Building your ol through the draft is definitely the way to go. ala patriots, Steelers, ravens..teams like that. Continuity is what’s needed and drafting a crap ton of ol Is what’s needed. Draft them until we get the right guys, then continue to draft ol to always have someone who can step up.

And I love this move. Melton and McCoy at the dt spots on third down. Melton can pprolly be moved around so he can play multiple downs. I love our dts. Getting hardy would go a long way as well. Clearly lovie gets fa for his defense and koetter will get the draft to get the offense squared up. Hey Scott, what’s the word on kadeem edwards? How’s his development going?

Or Mark cook. Whoever can get the info on Edwards’ development. And pamphile. I liked Edwards a lot. He’s a brutte and I’m curious if Tampa thinks he and pamphile can compete to start somewhere along the line.

    How about them Cowboys!

Good signing, so far it seems like L&L are sticking to the plan of not splurging in FA. Worst case scenario, these guys don’t pan out and they’re gone next year. I’d like to see us pick up Hardy on a similar type deal and we can focus on the offense in the draft.
